Current students are guaranteed a classroom place for next school year when their parents submit a form by the deadline.
Friendship Celebration (Valentines Day)
We will show appreciation for our classroom community and friendships with a Friendship Celebration and class snack on February 14th. There are additional sign-ups on the Community Breakfast page for veggies, fruit and crackers. If your Plover would like to bring in cards for their classmates, they MUST bring one for every student. Students can make cards or buy them. Please be modest with candy contributions; Plovers will not be allowed to eat treats at school.

Upcoming Out and Abouts
This Wednesday, the Plovers will continue work on their class business - Trash to Treasure Community Theater - and prepare for Celebrations of Learning. Next Wednesday, we will visit the ELC at Pacific University to preform our puppet show for two classes.
Great Kindness Challenge
This week, we are participating in The Great Kindness Challenge, which is a week dedicated to creating a culture of kindness on school campuses nationwide. Throughout the week, the Plovers will have time to plan and perform kind deeds for the school community, and they will also focus on classroom community and problem solving skills. You can also encourage your child to practice extra kindness at home and show the world that KINDNESS MATTERS!
Volunteer Opportunities
Breakfast Donations - Sign up for Friendship Day (2/14) snacks or breakfast (2/17)!
Library Chaperones - 2-3 chaperones needed for our next library trip (2/21)
Weekly Review
The Plovers are working hard to prepare their puppet show for several upcoming performances. At Celebrations of Learning, families will get a sneak peek at some of the recycled puppets and props! Tickets for performances on March 2nd and 3rd will also be available for purchase. Profits from the class business will be used to make a sustainability-related improvement to our classroom or school building.
