This book was checked out on my library card, but we could not find it in the classroom. It is due today and cannot be renewed. Please check to see if this book made its way home with your student! Friendship Celebration (Valentines Day)
The Plovers will show appreciation for our classroom community and friendships with a Friendship Celebration on February 14th. If your Plover would like to bring in cards for their classmates, they MUST bring one for every student. Students can make cards or buy them. Please be modest with candy contributions; Plovers will not be allowed to eat treats at school.
Weekly Review
Last week, Plovers spent a lot of time preparing for their skits at All School Meeting. The students practiced reading their lines with emotion and emphasis on important words. They recorded themselves on the iPads and listened to their recordings to see if they were speaking slowly and clearly. This will also help when it's time to record the narration for their stop motion movies! This week, they will finish writing their fairy tale adaptations and complete the paper collage backgrounds for the movies so we will be ready to start filming next week! Families and friends will be able to see the movies at Celebrations of Learning on Thursday, February 20th!
