Weekly Review
The Plovers have been working hard to get their stop motion projects ready for Celebrations of Learning this Thursday (5:00-6:30)! Last week, they finished taking pictures and started practicing their narration. When they record their narration, they are working on:
- Using a loud and clear voice
- Speaking slowly and pausing at punctuation
- Adding emotion and expression
- Reading smoothly without mistakes
Last week, we also spent some time talking about and practicing kindness. As a class, we thought about strengths and challenges around friendship at school. The Plovers think they are good at: making new friends, participating, working together and not judging others. They also brought up some issues that they'd like to work on, such as giving each other personal space, not leaving a game/discussion when you're angry, respecting others' beliefs and being kind at PE. The Plovers also made over 100 valentines to donate to the Ronald McDonald House for their Send Love challenge! Check out the photos below to see how the Plovers' artwork helped decorate the house, which is a place for families to stay for free when their child is in the hospital.
